Virtual Trip Ltd Services Department Profile
The Virtual Trip Ltd Services Department is dedicated to providing innovative solutions ranging from hardware and PCB design, to system software and high performance computing solutions, to large scale information systems and voice portals.
It is composed of the following groups:
- The Presales Group, responsible for services presales, including customer requirements analysis and preparation of offers submitted to both the public and the private sector.
- The Integrated Systems Group, acting as an original electronic equipment developer and integrator.
- The Network-Centric Software Systems Group, designing and implementing complex, large scale information systems.
- The Systems Consulting Group, specialized in the design and deployment of High Performance Computing solutions.
The Department’s Customers include:
- OTE - Virtual Trip provides the ConnX-View video streaming service as a turn-key solution for surveillance and video sharing to OTE customers.
- TIM - Virtual Trip will soon launch the Video Blogging service, provided as a turn-key solution for multimedia content sharing over mobile handsets to TIM customers.
- ARMENTEL - Virtual Trip has provided the Anti-Fraud Information System of ARMENTEL
- Emporiki Bank - Virtual Trip has implemented the portal of the group using a highly complex and secure content management system.
- Eurobank - Virtual Trip has implemented clustering solutions for the bank’s data centers.
- Inform Π. Λύκος - Virtual Trip has undertaken the internationalization of all production software used by the group.
- ENISA - the European Network and Information Security Agency. Virtual Trip has undertaken the implementation of the organization’s web site.
- ΕΝ ΑΘΗΝΑΙΣ ΦΙΛΕΚΠΑΙΔΕΥΤΙΚΗ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑ – the leading greek educational institute. Virtual Trip has developed its integrated system for managing and publishing cultural digital content.
- ΑΥΓΗ - Virtual Trip has undertaken the development of the information system used for the newspaper production.
- The Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY) - Virtual Trip has designed and deployed the temporary archiving system used in order to retrieve process and store satellite meteorological data.
- ΑΡΙΑΔΝΗ - the largest supermarket chain in Crete with more then 150 points of sales. Virtual Trip has implemented the information system of the company.
The key competitive advantage of the Services Department is its highly skilled personnel. It employs more than 25 experienced engineers in-house, while has access to a network of highly specialized freelance consultants. All of them hold a BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field, while most of them also hold a MSc degree as well.
