Virtual Trip has participated to many voice projects, and has received funds for developing voice applications both for the public sector and for research projects. As an example, we can mention the research project ENOSIS, which includes an informational system that provides travel information of all kinds, from ticket reservations through any means, to during-the-trip information about delays and transportation info. This information is provided through different technological means, like the Internet, a Voice portal, sms, etc. Virtual Trip fully developed the service provision through the phone (Voice portal), providing a real-life proof of the value that can be added to traditional web portals. The company has created many strategical cooperations with the major technology providers, using high-quality voice platforms to run the voice applications. Virtual Trip is a Value Added Resseller of Loquendo (www.loquendo.com), which is developing and maintaining a voice platform fully compliant with w3c standards for VoiceXML (the main language used for voice applications) and CCXML (provides call-control features), that also includes high-quality Text To Speech and Speech Recognition engines in many different languages and with many different voices. Another important cooperation of Virtual Trip, is the french Datamedia (www.datamedia.fr), a fast-growing company with departments in France, Japan and the United States, that provides a multimedia gateway with many modules for different capabilities. Of course, this platform is also fully compatible with w3c standards, and among others, provides a powerful software PBX and Automated Call Distribution (ACD) capabilities. This platform includes a very powerfull call center software, that can serve hundreds of simultaneous users, effectivelly providing a call center software for a company with many agents. These call center capabilities, along with the proper voice applications, can save a lot of user-waiting-time to a company that has to maintain a big call center with many agents and even more customers.
